Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy
Last Updated: November 1, 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using IPNetScan (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from utilizing our diagnostic tools and must discontinue use immediately.
2. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Launch Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) queries, rapid automated stress-tests, or unauthorized port floods against third-party systems.
- Scrape, extract, or mine telemetry data via automated headless browsers or bots at frequencies that degrade performance for other visitors.
- Impersonate network administrators, falsify Autonomous System routing identifiers, or attempt cross-site request forgery against external DoH endpoints.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international computer crime laws (e.g., Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in the USA or equivalent international legislation).
3. Intellectual Property Rights
The visual interfaces, neo-brutalist design systems, source code, interactive components, documentation, and original educational analyses published on IPNetScan are protected by intellectual property laws. Public IP routing definitions, autonomous numbers, and BGP tables are public domain facts and remain unencumbered.
4. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless IPNetScan, its authors, operators, and hosting infrastructure providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, or legal expenses resulting from your misuse of our diagnostics or violation of these Terms.
5. Service Modifications
We reserve the right to withdraw, adjust, or modernize any diagnostic feature, rate-limit excessive requests, or update these terms at our sole discretion without prior notification.
