1. Introduction & Overview

At IPNetScan ("we", "us", or "our"), available at https://whereismyip.pages.dev/, we aim to explain clearly how the tools and external services operate. This Privacy Policy details our operational protocols regarding the collection, transmission, and processing of technical network parameters, as well as the rules governing advertising cookies in and explains how third-party services may process technical data. If advertising is enabled in the future, the relevant advertising disclosures will be updated. This policy is not a certification of compliance with any law or advertising program. The European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and global data privacy standards.

2. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Cookies

This website currently displays advertising placement areas. If the site enables third-party advertising, providers such as Google may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. This section should be updated to reflect the actual advertising services enabled on the site.

  • Google's Use of Cookies: When Google advertising is enabled, Google may use cookies to serve and measure ads, subject to its policies and the user’s applicable settings.
  • Personalized Advertising: Third-party advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies for ad delivery, frequency control, fraud prevention, and measurement.
  • User Opt-Out Rights: Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA).

3. Zero-Log IP Address Philosophy

When you load IPNetScan, your public IP address is retrieved directly by your browser contacting external high-availability public resolver endpoints (e.g. ipwho.is, ipify.org, and cloudflare-dns.com). IPNetScan does not intentionally save lookup history in this page’s client-side code. However, external IP and DNS providers receive network requests, which may include your IP address and the query you submit. Their own logging and privacy practices apply.

4. Standard Web Server Log Files

Like almost all digital platforms, web hosting servers automatically record standard connection headers in ephemeral access logs for server maintenance and anti-DDoS security. The hosting provider may process connection metadata for delivery, security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. The site owner should consult the hosting provider’s current documentation for details about log contents and retention.

  • The right to erasure ("Right to be Forgotten") where applicable.

6. CCPA / CPRA California Consumer Disclosures

Under California privacy statutes, California residents have the following guarantees:

  • No Sale of Personal Data: IPNetScan does not operate a data-broker marketplace or sell lookup history. Third-party providers may independently process connection and query data under their own privacy policies.
